Synapses examines a phase of life in which formative neural and social connections are created.

Sending, presenting yourself, asserting yourself, who will prevail? In the rush of self-invention, we assert ourselves until we believe in ourselves. Watch out, synapses are jammed: insoluble insecurity meets indestructible self-confidence.

Based on this overwhelming simultaneity of explosive processes, three dancers grapple with the brain as it rearranges itself. They form and break connections, get in their own ways and get carried away. As adults, we think we have overcome the worst with adolescence, but that is only the beginning. So: Get used to it!
