TRASHEDY
A choreographic performance for everyone aged 11 and over

“The award is given to a piece, an undoubtedly captivating contemporary production for a young audience, which takes a cheerfully questioning look at our complex world.” Jury statement for the Westwind Festival 2013

Awarded the expert jury prize and the youth jury audience prize at the Westwind Festival 2013. Selected for the Augenblick mal! Festival 2014.

How many plastic cups do you use in a lifetime? Two actors explore the story of our strange evolution and wade through the complexities of the topic of “ecological intelligence.” On their way they come across new questions and an ever-growing mountain of rubbish.
With the help of animated drawings, dance and sound collages, TRASHedy takes a candid, humorous look at our freedom of choice and our own consumer behavior. Because everything we do has an impact. Somewhere.
TRASHedy has been performed over 250 times worldwide since 2013, including in India, Japan, Iceland, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Hungary, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Argentina, South Korea and China. The piece is designed to be easily performed in different settings. It is currently playable in German, English, French, Dutch and Japanese. Subtitles are available for Hungarian, Korean, Hungarian, Chinese and Icelandic. Other languages are possible.
