WE ARE THEM
A digital trashy classroom piece
Two actors embark on a journey through digital platforms and confront their own consumer behavior. As they move through well-known internet platforms such as YouTube, Minecraft and Zoom, the actors immerse themselves directly in everyday digital (school) life. In an entertaining way, they address complex relationships such as the origins of humanity or the influence of human consumer behavior on the environment.
The audience is invited to participate and think about possibilities for a more sustainable life.
In response to the lockdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, performing:group has developed this digital classroom piece based on their world-touring piece “Trashedy”.
